Who, What, When, Where and Why: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
In May 1999, upto 10,000 people will come together | at a world peace and justice congress in The Hague. The aim is to abolish or at least reduce the arms trade, abolish nuclear weapons and landmines, and strengthen international humanitarian law. There are over 50 international peace groups involved eg: CND, Friends of the Earth, Pax Christi, Women for Peace and Amnesty International. Speakers include the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The Brighton Peace and Environment Centre is taking a group of young people from Sussex to join in this congress, this is your chance to strengthen your international relations.
